Job Purpose:

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and driven ecommerce professional to become a key player in the in our Digital team. Smartbox is undertaking a large-scale investment to put in place a best-in-class web and mobile platform and this position will be at the front line in terms of developing and implementing transformative change for our online business.

The objectives of this role are to support the director of Beneficiary to boost overall beneficiary customer satisfaction and increase beneficiary customer revenues across a range of geographies and websites. (Note: Beneficiaries are the recipients of Smartbox gifts who redeem and book the vouchers online)

The chosen candidate will be joining a small team and as such the role will have a very broad remit working closely with a range of internal stakeholders including, digital marketing, product, IT, retail marketing, customer service, contracting and legal as well as a number of external stakeholders on an ad-hoc basis.

While the below is a list of expected responsibilities, the chosen person will need to demonstrate flexibility and a can-do attitude in the face to changing priorities within the business.

Key Responsibilities include :

  • Monitor and report on ecommerce KPIs, using Adobe Analytics & PowerBI
  • Undertake competitor benchmarking exercises to understand the latest product and marketing developments
  • Work with Director of Beneficiary and product teams to identify and assess areas of improvement across the Beneficiary journey
  • Conduct data analysis on behalf of the director of Beneficiary and relevant internal stakeholders to make informed strategic and product decisions
  • Assess and report on the impact of product or UX changes in terms of customer behaviour or revenue performance
  • Assist with UAT and QA testing as required
  • Co-ordinate the execution of A/B tests, analyse results and propose new tests
  • Reviewing and updating current processes to ensure efficient communication and work flows
  • Keep accurate and up to date documentation of online activities

Essential Competencies/ skills :

  • 3+ years’ experience in e-commerce
  • Fluent in English
  • Bachelor degree in marketing, business, e-Commerce or equivalent work experience
  • Demonstrable background in data analysis
  • Experience in accurately interpreting and drawing conclusions from data
  • Working knowledge of ecommerce KPIs
  • Team player
  • Proactive, ‘can-do’ attitude with a natural aptitude for contributing energy & enthusiasm to a team
  • Ability to multitask and deliver to deadlines
  • Open to learning and coaching development
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent MS Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint 

Desired Competencies/ skills :

  • Knowledge of Google analytics is a plus
  • Knowledge of Adobe analytics is a plus
  • Knowledge of Microsoft PowerBI is a plus
  • SQL Knowledge and experience is a plus
  • Working understanding of Spanish, French or Italian is preferable but not essential
  • Experience in retail or travel industries.
