As a Senior Ecommerce Analyst you will be responsible for leading the analytical and statistical approach to a range of ecommerce challenges. An integral part of the marketing team this is a hands on role - you will be the analytical expert within the marketing team. This is a brand new role and a fantastic development opportunity - you will need to design the best approach to gain insight from data as well as establishing processes for how analytics will develop and evolve within the marketing team.


  • You will provide statistical analysis and insight across a range of retail business areas
    • Customer insight
    • Web analytics
    • Marketing channel attribution
  • You will work closely with the Head of Customer Retention to identify trends and customer behaviour which will help model our CRM strategy moving forwards. You will need experience of segmentation and deep diving into customer data to understand the reasons behind the trends
  • Working closely with our traffic acquisition team you will help build understanding of different channel interactions. Previous experience of attribution modelling is essential.
  • You’ll also be responsible for working with our ecommerce team to identify areas of focus for new website development and testing. Experience of personalisation and segmentation onsite would be beneficial.
  • You’ll need to be forward looking and able to identify upcoming trends
  • You’ll be responsible for ensuring correct and precise implementation of our analytics packages as well as keeping up to date on new releases and functionality


About you


  • A High calibre graduate (2.1 or above) in mathematics, statistics, or computer science – BSc or MSc level. A-level Mathematics is essential.
  • Minimum five years experience in web and customer analytics at an online retailer
  • Excellent analytical skills and statistical understanding
  • Proven ability to analyse, present and communicate concepts in a compelling format to drive action
  • A detailed understanding of how to apply analytical tools and associated technologies to data to solve business problems – you will drive this within the business
  • Experience with building and testing algorithms using both 1<sup>st</sup> party and 3<sup>rd</sup> party data would be beneficial
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to explain concepts and data to all audiences
  • Experience of Google Analytics and Adobe Site Catalyst required
  • Experience in managing a team essential
  • The ability to lead and shape strategy
  • A questioning and curious mind!
